Based on the traditional Austrian Linzer Torte, Linzer cookies are popular around Christmas time and famous for their elegant appearance and outstanding flavor.  The dough consisting of ground, toasted almonds and hazelnuts, aromatic spices, and a touch of lemon zest, resulting in a cookie composed of two soft, buttery halves sandwiched together with a spread of lightly-sweet-but-tart, seedless, organic raspberry jam in between.  A combination of flavors that will take you to the moon and back!
